KommentarGemunkelt wurde es ja schon – jetzt ist es fix: das Jackson Tribute in Wien ist Geschichte! Das Konzert wird auf Juni 2010 verschoben und zwar nach London.

Zehntausende Fans sind stinksauer, auf Twitter etwa posten die User im Sekundentakt – zumindest bekommen all jene, die schon Tickets gekauft haben, ihr Geld zurück. Auf der gerade zu Ende gegangenen Pressekonferenz in Wien sagt Jermaine Jackson das ganze sei ihm zu politisch geworden – danach geht er, ohne auch nur eine weitere Fragen zu beantworten

Georg Kindel und Jermaine Jackson haben das "Tribute for Michael"-Konzert vor dem Wiener Schloss Schönbrunn am 26. 9. abgesagt!

Stars wollen keine Loser sein

Die Begründung: die angekündigten Stars fühlten sich schlecht behandelt und als Loser hingestellt - daher wollen sie nun auch nicht kommen. Kurz vor der Pressekonferenz hatte die Stadt Wien wissen lassen, sie werde den Event nicht wie geplant mit 600.000 Euro unterstützen.

In den vergangenen Tagen war das Tribute-Konzert nicht mehr aus den Negativschlagzeilen gekommen, da die Veranstalter statt der erwarteten Superstars zuerst nur das Kommen von weniger hochkarätigen Stars wie Chris Brown und Mary J. Blige angekündigt hatten, die Stars wenig später aber eine Teilnahme am Tribute dementierten.

On September 26, 2009 Jermaine Jackson will present in the unique historical ambience of the Schönbrunn Palace in Vienna, Austria – one of Europe’s most fascinating sites – THE TRIBUTE In Memory Of Michael Jackson. During a very special show the biggest hits of the legendary King of Pop will be performed live on stage by some of the most popular contemporary artists.

Jermaine Jackson will announce the performing artists at an International Press Conference in Vienna at the beginning of September. You can, however, acquire tickets immediately for this once-in-a-lifetime event.

AN EMPEROR’S PALACE. Jermaine Jackson and the Jackson family have chosen Vienna to be the location for this unique tribute in honor of Michael Jackson. The setting indeed will be a royal one. The concert will be staged in front of one of Europe’s grandest palaces.

The Tribute will be presented by Jermaine Jackson and World Awards Media and produced by Jermaine Jackson, Halima Rashid and Georg Kindel. Entrepreneur Christian Baha and Mr. Kindel, Founder, Chairman and Executive Producer of THE WORLD AWARDS®, WOMEN’S WORLD AWARDS® and SAVE THE WORLD AWARDS® – events that are among the most prestigious in the world with each show reaching more than 500 million people – will be the Executive Producers of The Tribute.

The idea of the stage design is to integrate the imperial backdrop as part of the stage setting. The multimedia stage will be approximately 165 feet wide, it consists of massive mobile LED walls that can be independently controlled and moved. Therefore each LED wall can show its own video or image. The LED walls can be moved together to form a solid continual backdrop. A runway will allow presenters and artists to walk through the audience. The tip of the runway will be formed as a crown. There will be various stage levels for performing artists, the house band and the presenters.

Situated to the left and right of the stage will be grandstands with seating for approx. 5,000 distinguished guests.
