Das japanische Videospiel "Zero Wing" wurde in einer englischsprachigen Version für Sega in Europa herausgegeben, und konnte mit interessanter Übersetzung aufwarten. Die Videoszene zu Beginn des Spieles lautete folgendermaßen:
In A.D. 2101
War was beginning.
Captain: What happen ?
Mechanic: Somebody set up us the bomb.
Operator: We get signal.
Captain: What !
Operator: Main screen turn on.
Captain: It's you !!
Cats: How are you gentlemen !!
Cats: All your base are belong to us.
Cats: You are on the way to destruction.
Captain: What you say !!
Cats: You have no chance to survive make your time.
Cats: Ha Ha Ha Ha ....
Operator: Captain '!!'
Captain: Take off every 'Zig'!!
Captain: You know what you doing.
Captain: Move 'Zig'.
Captain: For great justice.
Die Sätze "All your base are belong to us." und auch "Somebody set up us the bomb." verbreiteten sich in Geek-Kreisen in den Jahren 2001/2002 rasend über das Internet, über dieses "Engrish" musste bald die gesamte Szene lachen.
Bis heute gilt in Insider-Kreisen "All your base are belong to us." als großer Klassiker, und es gibt Webseiten, die diesen Spruch in unzähligen Alltagsfotos präsentieren, z.B. http://frogstar.com/aybabtu/index.asp, und auch Geek-T-Shirts damit werden angeboten: http://www.thinkgeek.com/tshirts/gaming/3777/
